FERCAM closes 2024 with solid revenue growth: +5.8% like for like confirms positive trend

[Bolzano, May 13, 2025] – Investments in innovation, sustainable mobility, and operational expansion. Strengthened presence in India with the opening of a third branch in Chennai, less than a year after the establishment of the Indian subsidiary, FERCAM India.

FERCAM, a logistics operator headquartered in Bolzano, closed the 2024 financial year with revenue of €706 million, recording a 5.8% increase in the post carve-out perimeter compared to the previous year. A very satisfactory result, especially considering the challenging market context marked by uncertainty and macroeconomic pressures.

2024 was a complex year for the entire logistics sector, with fluctuating market dynamics, especially in land transport,” said Hannes Baumgartner, CEO of FERCAM. “Nevertheless, we managed to sustain steady growth and consolidate our position in strategic sectors.”

The Air & Ocean Division performed particularly well, benefiting from increased demand in intercontinental trade lanes and from the progressive consolidation of its service offering. Within the division, excellent results were achieved in the Indian market, where the company has been operating for just over a year with three wholly owned facilities. Among the key milestones of the period was the early May opening of the third branch in India, located in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu and a major logistics and industrial hub in southern India. The new Chennai office complements the branches already operating in New Delhi and Kolkata, and marks a strategic step forward in the company’s international expansion plan.

The Special Services Division also delivered a strong performance. This division includes trade fair logistics, international relocations, and fine art logistics—sectors in which FERCAM has strengthened its specialization and delivered added value to clients.

Investments in infrastructure, technology, and sustainable mobility
In a climate of economic and geopolitical instability, FERCAM has increased its investment capacity. In 2024, the company executed strategic acquisitions in both domestic and international markets, including Shado in the Veneto region (Italy), the freight forwarding company LIC based in Stuhr (Germany), and the establishment of FERCAM India along with its three operational branches in the Indian market.

The first year of operation for the new business entity DACHSER & FERCAM Italia ended with particularly positive results, with a projected turnover of €400 million. This outcome highlights not only the strength of the joint venture, but also the effectiveness of the development strategy adopted. At the same time, there has been a steady and growing level of integration within the European network, strengthening operational synergies and the company’s competitive positioning in the continental logistics and transport market.

The year was marked by several strategic openings and the launch of major investments in infrastructure, technology, and the expansion of electric and alternative-fuel mobility within the company’s vehicle fleet, supporting sustainable and future-oriented growth.

Our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service diversification,” Baumgartner concluded, “remains at the heart of our strategy. We look ahead to 2025 with caution, but also with the determination to continue investing in the qualitative growth of our business.”
