FERCAM Expands Scandinavian Network with a New Branch in Turku
Bolzano, 30 October 2024 – FERCAM continues its growth in Northern Europe with the establishment of FERCAM Finland, a new branch in Turku designed to open new routes for full-load and partial-load transport solutions. Strategically located in a pivotal hub for import/export operations, the new branch will strengthen connections between Finland and the rest of Europe, optimizing logistical activities through Turku’s prime port location.
Following the successful development of FERCAM Sweden, inaugurated in 2021, and the Group’s subsequent expansion into Lithuania, the opening of FERCAM Finland marks another step in the company’s growth strategy in Northern Europe. FERCAM thus consolidates its presence in the Scandinavian market, where, in recent years, it has worked to build an efficient, scalable logistics network capable of responding swiftly to the needs of local and international clients. With the new Finnish branch, the company aims to further enhance services for the Nordic market, optimizing synergies and connections between Finland, Scandinavia, and the rest of Europe, while maintaining high standards of quality and punctuality.
Theo Hasselblatt, Branch Manager of the newly established Turku branch, affirms: «this opening represents a strategic step for FERCAM: expanding into Finland creates an opportunity to establish a more direct connection with clients in the Scandinavian region, improving operational efficiency and continuing to ensure high-quality service standards, key elements in our company vision. We will work closely with FERCAM Sweden to build an increasingly solid network and provide our clients with optimized, tailor-made solutions that meet their needs».
With the opening of the new branch in Finland, the FERCAM Group not only launches new routes but also strengthens its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its logistics activities. This expansion includes promoting integrated intermodal transport solutions that significantly reduce emissions. FERCAM offers sea transport options, such as the Helsinki-Rostock route, and rail transport, optimizing logistics flows and reducing road traffic, thereby lessening the environmental impact. For road transport, FERCAM also provides HVO as an alternative to diesel, offering clients a choice that further minimizes emissions and aligns with sustainable goals.
