FERCAM Fine Art: a logistics commitment of excellence for the exhibition Caravaggio 2025

[Bolzano, March 11, 2025] – FERCAM, South Tyrolean logistics and transport company with a specialized division dedicated to the transportation and handling of artworks, played a key role in the realization of the Caravaggio 2025 exhibition, currently on view at Palazzo Barberini in Rome.

The exhibition, organized by the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica in collaboration with Galleria Borghese and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture, brings together an exceptional number of autographed paintings by Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio (named after the Lombard town of his birth). Many of the works are rarely accessible to the public, offering a renewed reflection on the artistic and cultural revolution brought about by the Master.

FERCAM Fine Art handled the transport and installation of the majority of the Italian loans, ensuring that each artwork was moved with the utmost care and precision, in full compliance with the highest standards of conservation and safety.

The project involved masterpieces from Italian museums and private collections, including the Portrait of Maffeo Barberini, Judith and Holofernes, and Saint John the Baptist—works that illustrate Caravaggio’s relationship with his patrons and his lasting influence on European painting.

«The Caravaggio masterpieces entrusted to us are of inestimable historical and cultural value and deserve the highest level of care and attention», says Eugenia Rumi, Head of FERCAM's Fine Art department in Rome. «Behind our work—beyond simply transporting artworks—lies our passion and deep admiration for an artist whose message remains revolutionary and relevant even today».

Just as Caravaggio transformed artistic language through his innovative use of light, FERCAM aims to implement forward-thinking solutions in the name of continuous improvement and sustainable growth. With Caravaggio 2025, FERCAM Fine Art reaffirms its role as a trusted partner in the field of art logistics, where dedication and expertise come together to support internationally significant cultural initiatives, making art accessible and enjoyable for all audiences.
