FERCAM Spain celebrates 40 years of growth at SIL Barcelona 2026
[Barcelona/Bolzano, 9 June 2026] On the occasion of SIL Barcelona 2026, FERCAM Spain celebrated its 40th anniversary together with customers, partners and stakeholders, complementing its institutional stand with a semi-trailer transformed into an exhibition space dedicated to the history of the Group and the development of the company on the Iberian Peninsula.

This year once again, FERCAM Spain renewed its participation in SIL Barcelona, one of the key events for the logistics and transport sector on the Iberian Peninsula, turning its presence at the trade fair into an opportunity for relationship-building and exchange.
The company welcomed customers and partners in a space designed to tell its story: from its beginnings in Barcelona in 1986, when operations started with just two people, to the development of a solid structure with a widespread presence across Spain, now increasingly integrated within the FERCAM Group.
Forty years of development on the Iberian Peninsula
The history of FERCAM Spain began in 1986 with its first operational unit in Barcelona, focused on FTL transport.
From this starting point, the company progressively expanded its network, consolidating national and international traffic flows and strengthening its presence in several strategic areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
Among the most significant milestones were the launch of short sea connections with Italy in 1999, the development of short sea services to North Africa from 2003, exceeding €50 million in turnover in 2018 and reaching more than 100 employees in 2019. In recent years, the service portfolio has expanded further with the development of Air & Sea and Logistics expertise in the Barcelona area.
“Celebrating 40 years of FERCAM Spain at SIL Barcelona is particularly meaningful for us,” said Xavier Majem, Country Manager FERCAM Spain. “We started out as a small team in Barcelona and, step by step, built a solid presence across the country thanks to the commitment of our people and our close relationship with customers.
Today, we look to the future with the same energy as in the early days.”
An exhibition space to tell a story of history, identity and vision
At SIL Barcelona 2026, alongside its institutional stand, FERCAM set up a semi-trailer as a narrative exhibition space dedicated to the history of the Group and of FERCAM Spain. Inside, a photo exhibition and timeline guided visitors through the key milestones in the company’s evolution: from its origins to the consolidation of its Spanish presence.
The project was designed to share with customers and partners the journey of a company that has grown over time thanks to operational continuity, the expertise of its local teams and the ability to respond to the evolution of supply chains.
