FERCAM and Echo Labs take centre stage at ROM-E between innovation and social responsibility

FERCAM renewed its participation at ROM-E, the event dedicated to smart mobility and sustainability that animates the green heart of Villa Borghese every year. On 11 and 12 October, inside the evocative Villa delle Magnolie, the company reaffirmed its collaboration with Sport Network, highlighting a vision of logistics that brings together technological innovation and social responsibility.
The FERCAM stand, designed as a symbolic pathway towards new possibilities through mirrored arches and portal-like structures, guided visitors through the initiatives shaping the future of mobility and the supply chain. From the renewal of the vehicle fleet to the use of alternative zero-emission fuels, the space showcased the company’s concrete commitment to reducing environmental impact and promoting more efficient and sustainable operational models.

Alongside technological projects, a central focus was placed on social integration through Echo Labs, the social enterprise owned by FERCAM. Through dedicated training programmes for refugees and people in vulnerable situations, Echo Labs provides new professional skills and job opportunities, transforming recovered logistics materials into sustainable furnishings and design solutions.

Visitors had the chance to experience this hands-on approach thanks to the creative woodworking workshops organised by Echo Labs together with Luigi Cuppone’s Laboratorio Linfa. The area became a lively, intergenerational meeting point where wood from end-of-life pallets took on new forms: from the set-up furniture to small handmade objects crafted by children and taken home as a souvenir. Families, visitors and colleagues participated enthusiastically, contributing to a warm and engaging atmosphere.

FERCAM and Echo Labs’ presence at ROM-E once again proved to be a meaningful occasion, bringing innovation, circularity and community into dialogue. A weekend that demonstrates how sustainability and logistics can evolve together, with a concrete outlook on the future and a shared commitment to increasingly responsible solutions.
