FERCAM Fine Art in Matera for the relocation of the Museo Nazionale Ridola collections
FERCAM Fine Art recently worked in Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the cultural heart of Basilicata, to carry out a highly specialized operation: the complete relocation of the Museo Nazionale di Matera – Ridola collections.

The project, which lasted over a month, was commissioned by the Direzione Regionale Musei Basilicata as part of an important renovation project for the museum’s exhibition spaces. To enable the start of the works, it was necessary to completely empty the museum, relocating the artworks to temporary venues within the city.
From archaeological artifacts to delicate artworks, each piece underwent careful documentation, bespoke packaging, and secure transport, following the highest standards of safety and conservation. The FERCAM Fine Art team worked in close coordination with museum representatives, managing all logistical stages with utmost care and precision.
This project reaffirms FERCAM Fine Art's established expertise in managing complex operations for cultural institutions, museums, and public collections, offering tailored solutions that combine logistical efficiency with heritage protection.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the Direzione Regionale Musei Basilicata for their renewed trust and the warm welcome extended to our team.
For FERCAM Fine Art, every artwork tells a story. Our job is to safeguard it, even during moments of transition.
