FERCAM: ”Logistic of the year 2022” for the commitment to sustainability in transports and logistics
The South Tyrolean transport and logistics company FERCAM has been awarded the prestigious award established by Assologistica, the association representing operators in the third-party logistics sector for 2022, with a "360° Sustainability" project”
The prestigious award was presented in Milan at the Circolo Filologico Milanese last night as part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the founding of Assologistica; accepting the award for FERCAM were Dino Menichetti, Regional Manager as well as President of FERCAM Echo Labs, the Group's nonprofit Social Enterprise, established in 2021 with the aim of developing social and environmental compensation projects to neutralize the impacts resulting from the company's operations, and Marco De Vecchi, Logistics Sales Director.

Environmental and social sustainability are interdependent on each other.
Based on this consideration, FERCAM has initiated within the new 2025 Strategy a cross-business area project that acts in an integrated way on all dimensions, called Sustainability 360°.
On the one hand, FERCAM is moving in parallel on several complementary fronts with reference to facilities and the rational and efficient use of resources and with reference to the vehicle fleet and the use of environmentally friendly traction and fuels, involving its partners in this as well.
On the other hand, FERCAM established the FERCAM Echo Labs social enterprise in December 2021 to create networks and synergies with its partners' ESG/CSR programs.
With the 360° Sustainability project and, in particular, with the establishment of FERCAM Echo Labs, FERCAM wants to go beyond business to establish a network of nonprofit partnerships with the involvement of local territories, aware that only the development of collaborative networks can lead to creating the necessary technological and social advances to make a major contribution to achieving the SDGs of the UN 2030 Agenda.
The goal of the project is to reduce, and where possible neutralize, the carbon footprint associated with its business activities and help build sustainable communities in both social and environmental spheres.
