FERCAM S.p.A. earns ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management

Information security management is now a certified asset at FERCAM S.p.A., the Italian company of the FERCAM Group, which has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the international benchmark in this field.
The milestone confirms a verifiable Information Security Management System (ISMS) built to the most recent edition of the standard, the one that reshapes controls around today's most pressing areas, from cloud security to data protection. For FERCAM it means governing the full information chain in a structured way, from customer data to service continuity across the supply chain.
As regulatory pressure intensifies, from GDPR to the NIS2 Directive, and exposure to cyber risk becomes increasingly tangible, information security has moved from the IT perimeter to the core of business strategy.
The certificate, issued by Bureau Veritas, was presented by Martina Girolimetto, marking the completion of a project led internally by Stefano Albiero, Chief Technology and Security Officer, and Lorena Biasi, Head of Corporate Quality & Sustainability.
"Achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification marks a decisive step in the evolution of our organization. It is not simply a matter of adopting an international standard; it means consolidating a governance model that puts security, reliability and customer trust at its heart. In an increasingly digital and interconnected environment, we regard information security as a defining feature of the quality of the services we offer," says Stefano Albiero.
The certification is part of an integrated strategy that brings together information security, European regulatory requirements and business continuity, supporting reliable growth over the long term.
