FERCAM acquires the shipping company LIC, based in Stuhr (Germany)
Opening of a new LIC by FERCAM branch in Troisdorf

This development results from a gradual strategic acquisition process that FERCAM began in 2022 with an initial 51% stake in LIC. In 2023, this stake was increased to 75%, culminating in full ownership in 2024.
Project Cargo Specialist for Global Markets
LIC by FERCAM operates globally in the transport and logistics sector and is known in Germany for its expertise in Project Cargo and the logistics of large machinery and cranes, primarily for the construction industry. These machines are sold worldwide, particularly in the United States (especially New York), Canada, Australia, South America, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Southeast Asia.
The freight forwarding company LIC was founded in 1993 as a family business by its CEO, Klaus Warnecke, and has continuously grown, including through the establishment of branches in Hamburg, Bremen, and Würzburg. With the recent opening of the new branch in Troisdorf, the company is further strengthening its presence in the German market.
«The acquisition completed at the end of 2024 encompasses all operational activities of LIC, and we are very pleased to continue relying on the valuable expertise of LIC employees, both at headquarters and at the branches,» said Peter Stadtmann, Managing Director of LIC by FERCAM. «This acquisition confirms our commitment to pursuing our growth strategy in the German market, reinforcing our expertise in project cargo and specialized transport,» concluded Stadtmann.
Strong Synergies with FERCAM
LIC by FERCAM will operate independently of the FERCAM Group; however, the acquisition ensures direct access to the global network of the South Tyrolean logistics operator, creating valuable synergies, particularly with FERCAM subsidiaries in India (New Delhi and Kolkata). LIC by FERCAM provides its clients with tailored logistics solutions, including the planning and organization of specialized transport, packaging, and customs formalities.
